Special Coin Minted as Tribute to 9/11 Victims

The U.S. Department of the Treasury has created a special half dollar to be given to the families of 9/11 victims. The coin features the Statue of Liberty and the inscription “Always Remember 9-11-01” as well as a “W” to represent West Point, where the coins were minted by New Yorkers. They will be distributed around the nation.
